Rev. Chris Caddell

Welcome to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church and School,  a friendly, family-oriented community located just west of Austin, Texas, near the heart of Dripping Springs. We feel God calling us to provide a place that is open to all, stands for the message and ministry of Jesus Christ and equips people for living a holy life, sharing faith and welcoming others to our community.

Limestone walls and big windows

Through which we contemplate Eternity

And Beauty, which has donned

The Hill Country as a Sunday frock.

Inside there is much movement

In the passing of the Peace,

Families stirring in this burrow,

Turning round to welcome me.

They thank me for the gift I bring:

Not the words I say or sing

(This is after all a liturgical church),

But for the voice with which I say them.

It is as if I have a voice

Of limestone and big windows

Through which they see Eternity

And the Beauty of old cathedrals.

The frocks and friendly faces,

Different accents, different voices

Beauty uses, but the body

And the word remains the same.

May we all to one another be,

Like these families were to me,

Limestone and big windows

Open on Eternity.

First Sundays at Holy Spirit

First Sundays at Holy Spirit is a time for newcomers to learn more and explore a potential call to join the Holy Spirit family.

“Newcomer” is a self-selecting group and all who consider themselves new to Holy Spirit are welcome to join.  While newcomers may join or leave the class at anytime, participants will be encouraged to attend a series of First Sundays during the course of the fall/spring.

Beginning August 7, First Sundays at Holy Spirit will meet the first Sunday of each month at 9:30 in the small conference room with Fr. Chris.

Forming Our Future

The people of Holy Spirit have long shared the core value of providing quality Christian education and formation for all people of all ages.  We are excited to announce that we intend to support and expand these ministries through the construction of a new multi-use Christian Education building.

We would love you to join in this vision with us.  More information about the Forming Our Future Campaign can be found by clicking here or visiting www.formingourfuture.org.
