Welcome to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church and School, a friendly, family-oriented community located just west of Austin, Texas, near the heart of Dripping Springs. We feel God calling us to provide a place that is open to all, stands for the message and ministry of Jesus Christ and equips people for living a holy life, sharing faith and welcoming others to our community.
Limestone walls and big windows
Through which we contemplate Eternity
And Beauty, which has donned
The Hill Country as a Sunday frock.
Inside there is much movement
In the passing of the Peace,
Families stirring in this burrow,
Turning round to welcome me.
They thank me for the gift I bring:
Not the words I say or sing
(This is after all a liturgical church),
But for the voice with which I say them.
It is as if I have a voice
Of limestone and big windows
Through which they see Eternity
And the Beauty of old cathedrals.
The frocks and friendly faces,
Different accents, different voices
Beauty uses, but the body
And the word remains the same.
May we all to one another be,
Like these families were to me,
Limestone and big windows
Open on Eternity.
