In worship, we are united, acknowledging the holiness of God, to hear God's Word, to offer prayer and to celebrate God's presence among us. All are welcome to participate in worship at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church because it is in worship that we live out our life as a Christian family together.

The nursery is open on Sundays from 8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Our nursery program is committed to providing a safe and loving environment for our youngest parishioners in order to lay the foundation for their lifelong journey with Jesus Christ.
On Sunday mornings we provide care for infants through kindergarten ages. For programs, classes, and small group meetings outside of Sunday mornings, nursery care is extended through elementary age children. We screen and train nursery staff to provide the best care possible for the children.
For more details regarding the policies and practices in the nursery or if you feel called to serve in this ministry, please contact the church office at (512) 858-4924 for a copy of our Parent Handbook.
The Acolyte Ministry for Sunday and Holy Day Worship is open to all ages in the congregation, children, youth, and adult. This ministry is one of service at the altar and of leadership in worship, and requires training in order to become a participant.
Altar Guild / Sacristan
The Altar Guild Members prepare the altar and worship space for worship for Sundays and other times during the week. Their role is one of quiet service and devotion as they care for the sacramental and liturgical vessels and spaces which are primary to the worship of the Episcopal Church. This ministry is open to all, and mentoring and training is provided.
The ministry of the Holy Spirit Choir is one of service to the congregation in creating a worshipful experience on Sunday morning and Holy Days through the mediums of vocal and instrumental music. Leading the congregation in the singing of hymns, service music, and Canticles and Psalms, as well as performing an Anthem, the ministry of the choir is primary in our engagement of God in worship when we gather together. Open to all who love music and who can regularly rehearse with the other members of the choir.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers
Lay Eucharistic Ministers (or Chalice Bearers) serve at the altar in worship and in the distribution of the element of wine in the chalice during Holy Eucharist. Being bearers of the Blood of Christ, theirs is a ministry of service and devotion to the sacramental Christ in our midst. This ministry is open to women and men sixteen years and older, and requires licensing through the Diocese of West Texas.
Lector / Reader
Lectors are ministers of the Word of God as found in the Holy Scriptures, who read the Old Testament, Epistle, and Psalmody readings in the worship services of the Episcopal Church. This ministry is open to all ages, but requires some training and mentoring in order to become a participant.
The ministry of Ushers is primarily one of hospitality, meeting and greeting worshippers as they arrive for a worship experience. They offer church bulletins and other hand-outs, call forth persons to carry the oblations of bread, wine, and offertory to the altar, and serve in any capacity needed to help persons worship and feel comfortable in our midst.
