Interested in Confirmation or Reception?
Our Bishop Suffragan, Angela Cortinas, will make her first episcopal visit to Holy Spirit on Sunday, May 3rd. This is a wonderful opportunity for those interested to receive the sacramental rite of confirmation, or for those already confirmed by a bishop in another tradition, to be received into the Episcopal Church. While there is no specific "minimum age" for confirmation, it is usually reserved for persons at least 12 years of age, who can "express a mature commitment to Christ" and who, during the rite, will "receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop." Required classes will be offered, beginning Sundays and Wednesdays, on Sunday, April 19th. Please register your interest in confirmation/reception by filling out the interest form in the Narthex as soon as possible
