We are so glad you are here!

Whether this is your first visit to an Episcopal Church or you have been going to one for years, we want you to know that you are at home.  To us Holy Spirit is not simply a name, but one that describes what we seek in our common life together.  It is God’s Spirit that calls us to worship and it is that Spirit to which we respond. We invite you to continue to seek that Spirit with us, not as community that has all the answers, but as one that will journey with you faithfully.

Join Us for Sunday School

9:30am

  • Adults meet in the Parish Hall

  • 6th-12th Grade meets in the Youth Building

  • K-5th Grade meets in the Preschool Building

One notable exception to Sunday School occurs on the 2nd Sunday of every month.  On this Sunday there is no Sunday School.  Instead, we gather at the 9:30am time in the Parish Hall to have a breakfast cooked by our Men's Group.  Please join us!

Childcare is available right down the hallway.

8:30am - End of worship time (~11:45am)

When you visit Holy Spirit, there is no right or wrong way to attend church with littles.  You are welcome to keep them with you in the service (we love hearing babies during worship!), or let them play in our nursery.

Our amazing nursery staff of Safeguarded young adults love building forts, coloring, and reading with children.

Some parents walk down the hallway to get their children for communion, while others prefer to have a moment at the altar while their children are in the nursery.

What is Communion like?

The Holy Eucharist is served every Sunday at the altar. You may kneel or stand, and the priest will hand you a wafer of bread.  You may hold onto the wafer and dip it into the chalice (this is called intinction), or you may eat the wafer and drink directly from the chalice. If you would rather have a blessing at the altar, you may cross your arms across your chest. If you would rather stay in your seat during communion, you may do so.  All baptized Christians regardless of denomination are welcome at Christ's table.

What does BCP stand for in your bulletin?

Holy Spirit Episcopal uses the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) in our worship service.  When you visit the church, it is the red book under the seat in front of you. The blue book and thin green book are two different hymnals that have music for worship.
