SUNDAY CHRISTIAN FORMATION CLASSES

Christian formation classes are offered for all ages.  Classes meet at 9:30 on Sunday mornings during the academic year.

ADULT SUNDAY CLASSES

Classes on a range of topics are lead by guest speakers, laity, and clergy.  

Adults classes normally meet 9:30-10:20am in the Parish Hall.

YOUTH CHRISTIAN FORMATION

On Sunday mornings, High school and Middle school youth meet separately in a welcoming, safe and relaxed space from 9:30 am to 10:20 am to continue their Faith Journey.

ELEMENTARY CLASSES

Elementary classes are split between a younger aged (K-2) and older aged (3-5) groups.  Lessons are biblically based using Weaving God's Promises curriculum. Elementary classes meet 9:30 to10:20am in the Youth Building.

PRESCHOOL & NURSERY

Preschool & Nursery for children under 5 receive age appropriate bible lessons and crafts by our trained staff and volunteers.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

The women's Bible study meets on Tuesday mornings from 7:30-8:30am in the narthex.  This study has studied both Scripture and spiritual books, most recently having studied The Sacred Art of Loving Kindness by Rabbi Rami Shapiro, and the Book of Ruth.
Current study is an in-depth look into the book of Romans.

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY

The men's Bible study meets on Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:30am in the narthex. This study takes one book at a time, usually taking about a chapter per week.  Most recently we have studied the Gospel of John, the Book of Acts, and James.

LECTIONARY BIBLE STUDY

The lectionary Bible study meets on Wednesdays 10:30-11:45 in the narthex.  

Each week the group studies the readings that will be read in worship for the coming Sunday.

THE BIBLE CHALLENGE

The Bible Challenge is a group committed to reading the Bible in its entirety over the course of a year. Participants meet monthly to for mutual encouragement and discussion. Participants use a guide and a reading plan published by Forward Movement.  Copies of The Bible Challenge book can be ordered here.

 

EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY

The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people with the education to carry out their ministry.  Through study, prayer, and reflection, EfM groups move toward a new understanding of the fullness of God's kingdom.

PARISH RETREAT

Holy Spirit offers an annual parish retreat.  Families and individuals of all ages are invited for a time to relax and refresh your spirit in the Texas Hill country.
Next retreat will be May 2021 and more information is available closer to the event

SEASONAL PROGRAMS

Seasonal formation offerings occur throughout the year, including an Advent and Lenten program. Past offerings include a Family Advent Party, Lenten Soup Dinners, and the Agape Meal. To see what's currently happening, click here.
